The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the rearmament of the Yasnensky missile formation in the Orenburg region with the Avangard stationary missile system.

In particular, on November 16, the aggressor country, over the course of several hours, loaded another intercontinental ballistic missile, which could be equipped with a nuclear warhead, into the silo using a hydraulic mechanism.

They say that the installation of Avangard took place as part of the planned rearmament of the Strategic Missile Forces, which will supposedly increase the combat capabilities of nuclear forces.

The first Avangard missile, created in response to the development of a new generation of US nuclear weapons, was loaded into the launch silo by the Russian Federation back in 2019.

When approaching a target, Vanguard is capable of sharply maneuvering at hypersonic speeds, which are 27 times the speed of sound (about 34 thousand km per hour).

The power of combat equipment of one Vanguard unit is from 800 kilotons to 2 megatons.

On November 2, Vladimir Putin signed a law that provides for the cancellation of ratification of the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.
