The Russian Air Force (Air Force) launched airstrikes on militant positions in Idlib in the northwest of the country. In particular, they attacked the city of Maaret-Misrin.
The whereabouts of the terrorists became known as a result of the intelligence of the Russian Air Force. The Defense Department has not yet commented on reports of the airstrike.
Earlier it was reported that an American military helicopter crashed in the province of Al-Hasakah in Syria. It is known that American servicemen and armored vehicles surrounded the crash site of the car – the village of Tel Haddad near the city of Al Yarubiya.
The Syrian civil war began in March 2011. The main participants in the conflict are government forces on the side of President Bashar al-Assad, the so-called moderate opposition and Islamist groups. The opposition is supported by the United States and European countries, Russia is helping the Assad government.
