Russian invaders are trying to resume offensive operations in the Luhansk direction of the front, but they are not successful. The Institute for the Study of War described in detail what is happening in this sector of the East.
According to analysts, the Russians launched another big offensive in the Lugansk region. Actually, along the line Svatovo – Kremennaya in the west of the region, the activity of infidels has noticeably increased during the week.
The Kremlin is using all its forces for this operation
Russian propagandists are starting to lie that the invaders manage to gradually advance near the border between Kharkiv and Lugansk regions. In particular, we are talking about the northwest of Svatovoe near Kupyansk and west of Kremennaya.
The Russian military command seems to have fully involved parts of several conventional divisions in decisive offensive operations along the Svatovo-Kremennaya line, the experts stated.

- units of several regiments of the 144th and 3rd motorized rifle divisions;
- regiment of the 90th tank division;

Obviously, the involvement of so many major divisions in this indicates that Russia needs at least some victories during this war. However, the Ukrainian army continues to successfully resist the invaders.
Ukrainian forces have so far prevented Russian forces from gaining significant gains. The Russian advance has probably not yet reached its full pace; The Russian command has not yet sent units of the 2nd motorized rifle division, which in January, after being deployed in Belarus, spread to the Lugansk region, the Institute for the Study of War said.
They also stressed that even if the initiative is temporarily on the side of the enemy, he will not be able to use it and achieve significant success. At the same time, the Armed Forces have every chance in the near future to launch a counteroffensive on this sector of the front.

To this topic, it should be mentioned that the enemy also began to accumulate forces in the Liman direction of the Donetsk region. Military analyst Oleksiy Hetman believes that in this way the invaders plan to divert Ukraine's attention and weaken the defense near Bakhmut.
