This was stated by the commander of the Intelligence Center of the Estonian Defense Forces, Colonel Margo Grosberg. He named a condition that prevents the enemy from influencing the course of events at the front.
The weather plays into the hands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
Grosberg noted that the invaders are advancing in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. But the relatively warm weather helps our Defense Forces units.
“Compared to last week, the activity of hostilities has increased, the initiative has to a certain extent passed into the hands of the Russian armed forces,” he noted.
The intelligence commander added thatUkraine's defense is under strong pressure. And both in Donetsk and Lugansk regions. But, despite this, no significant changes were detected on the collision line.
Let's return to the weather conditions. According to Grosberg, the occupiers are facing problems related to the retreat of frosts. Warming is not conducive to offensive actions. And all because the soil is viscous, it becomes difficult for heavy equipment to move around.
In the north-east of Ukraine, that is, in the Lugansk region, the average daily temperature is around zero, in the south of the country a positive temperature has been established. In other words, the weather is now conducive to the defense actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, – he noted.
Where the invaders attack
As noted in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the invaders carry out offensive operations in 5 directions. We are talking about Kupyansky, Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky, as well as Novopavlovsky.
In addition, over the past day units of the Defense Forces repulsed a number of attacks. The invaders suffered losses and retreated in the Kremennaya , Shipilovka and Belogorivka in the Lugansk region, as well as Krasnaya Gora, Bakhmut, Ivanovsky and Paraskoveevka in the Donetsk region.
Finally, let's go over the actual losses of the enemy. Over the past day, 1,140 invaders were eliminated. The general statistics from February 24, 2022 indicates that there were 136,880 “two hundredth” occupiers.
