Russia is nobody for Armenia – political scientist on Pashinyan's demarche against Putin

by alex

Vladimir Putin gathered the leaders of the CIS countries in St. Petersburg. The Kremlin dictator spoke with Prime Minister Pashinyan, where he announced claims that Russian peacekeepers were not fulfilling their obligations to unblock the Lachin corridor.

Political scientist Taras Zagorodny for Channel 24said that this is not the first such demarche of Pashinyan. The expert recalled that the prime minister had already expressed claims during the CSTO summit in Yerevan.

“Pashinyan is the secretary of this CSTO, but he treats Putin quite impudently. He closed the meeting when he wanted. Also expressed complaints about Russia's actions, because Armenia understands how bizarre such an ally is. Russia can no longer help Armenia and is looking for stability in the region,” Zagorodniy said.

New demands of the time for Armenia

According to the political scientist, Armenia is going to a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, recognizing that Nagorno-Karabakh is not their territory. Zagorodny believes that the country is entering civilized relations with its neighbors.

“She is looking for common ground, she is forced to go for it. This is a requirement of the time. Azerbaijan must return its occupied territories. Armenia cannot do anything about it and is forced to look for common ground in Europe, the United States, Turkey and Azerbaijan,” the political scientist said.

He said that the only ally who can help is a dubious country like Iran. Other neighbors of Armenia do not like this.

Russia has shown that it is no one here even for Armenia, which is more dependent on Russia than Belarus. Now Armenia understands that Russia is not capable of fulfilling the role it was entrusted with,” added Zagorodniy. h2>
