Russia is creating provocations in Pridnestrovie in order to open an additional front in the Odessa region. This will force the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move forces in this direction and weaken positions in the Nikolaev region, the Center for Counteracting Disinformation said.
Pridnestrovie, according to the Center, will follow the example of Belarus and support Russia without entering into active hostilities.
Also, the department suggested that the second reason for the provocations could be the justification of Russia's actions in Ukraine.
