For Russians, maritime trade is very important . And the closure of ports for them is a significant loss. For in 2021, 46% of exports and 40% of imports accounted for Europe.
But the “marine” problems for the Rashists will not begin today. For the civilized world realized at the beginning of the armed aggression that it was necessary to stop trade with Russia, and it was not worth looking for formal reasons for this.

- Container turnover at Russian ports in March decreased by 22% compared to March 2021 to 385,000 TEU (container equivalents);
- Transshipment at St. Petersburg terminals decreased by 45% ;
- in Novorossiysk it decreased by 24%, in Kaliningrad – by 36%.
Vladivostok's terminals, focused on trade with Asia, could not compensate for the general decline. And there the container turnover grew by only 3%.
