Russia is an economic dwarf, a gas station whose owner has an atomic bomb – Borrell

EU High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borrell criticized Russia and its authorities for the actions it is taking its policy. In particular, he called the aggressor country an “economic dwarf” and a “gas station”.

He also criticized Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's nuclear blackmail. In addition, Borrell called him “the owner of a nuclear bomb”.

Borrell spoke harshly about Russia

A senior official stressed that Putin had serious miscalculations in his decision to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. According to him, the Russian president “was wrong about almost everything”, including that he could exercise control over the countries of the European Union due to dependence on Russian energy sources.

“Putin sacrifices his people and army for the sake of personal and political survival. That is why it is so difficult to negotiate peace,” Borrell stressed.

The High Representative of the EU also went over the relations between Russia and China. He noted that it is impossible to compare Beijing and Moscow.

Borrell also positively assessed the negotiations on the Ukrainian Formula of the World in Saudi Arabia. In particular, he noted the participation of China in them. The chief EU diplomat stressed that Beijing is not at all satisfied with the current situation that has developed with the nuclear threat in the world.

Finally, Borrell stressed that despite this, China will clearly not show that it has reduced its support for the country- aggressors.
