< strong _ngcontent-sc87="">Russia seems to be in earnest on the temporarily occupied territories of the South of Ukraine. She dreamed that she would be able to gain a foothold there for a long time.
Vadim Skibitsky, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, said that Russian troops were regrouping in the captured Kherson and part of the Zaporozhye region. This suggests that Russia plans to gain a foothold in these positions.
In the Kherson region, in the occupied territory of the Zaporozhye region, we see an increase that occurs as a result of the movement of troops from the territory of the Crimean peninsula. And this is in transit from the Russian Federation,” Skibitsky stated.
According to him, intelligence understands how powerful a grouping of troops Russia is now deploying in the occupied territories of southern Ukraine.
Occupiers want to stay for a long time
Skibitsky also noted that in addition to the ground forces, air and sea components were also added to this grouping.
“We see that from the beginning of May, the occupying forces began to strengthen their defenses. They are preparing the appropriate engineering structures, even building not one or two, but already the third line of defense. And this suggests that the occupation of these territories in the future indicates that Russia wants to stay for a long time, “Skibitsky said.
He stressed that of these military aspects and indicators, the conclusion follows that Russia wants to capture and hold these territories of Ukraine.
The situation in the South
- Despite all the forecasts and predictions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are stubbornly doing their job – protecting our land and destroying the Russian occupiers. During the day on May 25, they continued to shell the South. But even under such difficult circumstances, our military was able to eliminate about 20 invaders and units of their enemy equipment.
- But, unfortunately, so far it has not been possible to warn the region from enemy shelling. Russian invaders are mercilessly shelling Mykolaiv region and terrorizing the local population of the Kherson region. In Nikolayevshchina they hit civilians with “tornadoes”. Explosions and shots are constantly reported in the Kherson region.
- There was also a threat to the South from the unrecognized Transnistria. But it seems that they did this only to escalate the situation and tension in order to divert attention. Now the level of the so-called “terrorist threat” has been lowered in this region. Also, the Russian invaders refused to mobilize there.
