Russian invaders are bringing additional forces to Ukraine. In particular, the enemy is concentrating a certain number of units in the Zaporozhye direction.
About thisChannel 24said military expert, instructor pilot and reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan. According to him, Russia is concentrating a significant amount of forces and equipment in the Tokmak area in the Zaporozhye region.
However, Svitan believes that the invaders do not use these reserves for an offensive in the Zaporozhye direction.
Russia has neither the strength nor the capabilities (for the offensive – Channel 24). Also, there is a very inconvenient supply system, – said the colonel of the reserve of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As the military expert explained, if the occupiers plan certain active actions in this area, this will cause a 3-5 times increase in their needs for ammunition, military ammunition and other things. According to Svitan, it is simply unrealistic for the Russians to establish such a level of supplies to the Zaporozhye direction.The reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is convinced that Russia is accumulating troops and equipment in the Zaporozhye region for other purposes. According to him, the Russian invaders will perform 2 main tasks in this direction.
Firstly, the Russians will try to pin down Ukrainian reserves in this sector of the front.
If, for example, there are 30,000 occupiers there, then we should also keep about 30,000 of our military in the Orekhov region,” Svitan noted.
According to him, the enemy may resort to minor provocations so that Ukraine does not could transfer its units to other areas.
The occupiers are preparing to defend Melitopol
Secondly, the Russian occupiers are preparing for a counteroffensive by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
If the Ukrainian command decides to attack Melitopol, then these Russian troops will be used in defense mode, – explained the reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He added that the Russian forces were just stretched to the entire depth of the Zaporozhye Front – from Orekhov through Tokmak to Melitopol.
The situation in the Zaporizhia region: the main thing
- The Russian invaders, by their actions, create a threat of disaster at the Zaporozhye NPP occupied by them. Experts have noticed a decrease in the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir in the Zaporozhye region.
- The Russians systematically attack Zaporozhye with missiles. On the night of February 10, 17 arrivals were recorded in the city in an hour. According to Anatoly Kurtev, secretary of the Zaporozhye City Council, this is the largest number since the start of a full-scale invasion.
- 3 weeks ago, the enemy tried to break into the village of Kamenskoye, located on the banks of the Dnieper reservoir in the Zaporozhye region. Next to it is the road to Zaporozhye closest to the line of military clash.
- But the attempts of the invaders were unsuccessful, because the terrain turned out to be on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Kamenskoye is located on a hill.
- According to the deputy of Zaporozhye city council Dmitry Kirilchuk, after an unsuccessful attack, the enemy stopped his attempts to advance in the Zaporozhye direction.
