Strike on Poltava: Defense Ministry reaction
According to information available from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, the enemy launched an attack with two ballistic missiles.
The time interval between the alarm and the arrival of the deadly missiles was so short that it caught people at the moment of evacuation to a bomb shelter.
— Thanks to the coordinated work of rescuers and doctors, 25 people were saved, 11 of whom were released from under the rubble. Rescuers are currently continuing their work. We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims. This tragedy is further evidence of the treachery of the enemy, who does not stop at any crime, trying to intimidate Ukrainians, — the report says.
As reported by the head of the Poltava OVA Filipp Pronin, blood donation was organized for the wounded Poltava residents.

Klimenko noted that rescue services, taking into account the safety component, will work until they are sure that they have freed all the injured people from under the rubble.
