Russia has taken the path of collapse, protests in Bashkiria are just the beginning, – political scientist

by alex

Mass protests broke out in Bashkiria. Several thousand people came out to support local activist Fail Alsinov, who they want to imprison for “extremism”.

On air last week< strong> 24 Channels political scientist Valentin Gladkikh suggested that there is a high probability of growing social discontent in Russia, which could be realized in protests.

The “machine” of protest has already been launched in Russia

However, as Gladkikh explained, in order for protests to be successful because the scale and situational discontent are not enough, Russians must organize themselves and launch the following processes:

  • differentiation of functions;
  • clearly articulated goals;
  • awareness of the mechanisms and tools with which you can achieve your goals.

We don’t notice it yet, but the key is “yet.” It is unlikely that this protest will achieve the desired result. But I am inclined to believe that the evolutionary path of Russia’s collapse has already begun. The protests in Bashkiria are only the first signs that discontent is growing in Russia. And it will increasingly acquire a national character – it will take place in the so-called subjects of the federation,” the political scientist emphasized.

Sooner or later, protests will evolve from spontaneous to organized. Subsequently, local political “elites” will have the option of either becoming an executive instrument of the federal center and being subject to conflict with the population with all the ensuing consequences, or leading protests that the leadership cannot overcome. Then real problems will begin in the federal center of Russia, which will become an irreversible process.

It is still difficult to say how much time this will take. The Putin regime does not have sufficient power and resource potential to prevent the development of such a scenario. Everything depends on the level of national self-awareness and social dissatisfaction with certain processes, as well as on the presence of a certain passionate part in society. This will not happen synchronously – faster in some regions, slower in others.
