Russia has significant combat losses and is running out of ammunition, – head of the Pentagon on Ramstein

The Russian army has been exhausted by the bloody and cynical war against Ukraine. The Kremlin was left practically without help when the whole world united around Ukraine, which opposes the aggressor.

This was announced at a meeting in the Ramstein format, which is taking place in Germany on January 20, said the head of the Pentagon, Lloyd Austin. He noted that Russia is running out of ammunition, and it is suffering significant combat losses.

Austin noted the isolation of Russia

Austin said that now Moscow “turns to its few partners to resupply its tragic and unnecessary invasion, but not even Iran and North Korea admit they are supplying Russia”

Just compare that to the wave of support for a free and sovereign Ukraine represented in this room,” Austin told delegates.

What is known about the Ramstein meeting

• Ramstein format is created European partners of Ukraine for military support of our country in the fight against Russian invaders. On January 20, the meeting is held for the eighth time.
• This meeting is expected to be a turning point in the war between Ukraine and Russia. Kyiv hopes to receive unprecedented military assistance from the West.
• Ukraine's greatest expectations are related to the German Leopard 2 tanks, the transfer of which German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has so far blocked. Ukraine is also striving to get long-range weapons in order to work out the invaders at a greater distance.
• President Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke in a video format. The head of state thanked the allies for their help, but warned that Russian troops were now regrouping. Therefore, the president called on the allies to hand over F-16 fighters, as well as a hundred tanks.
• Many of Ukraine's allies announced military assistance to our country even before the Rammstein launch. In particular, the United States, Sweden, Finland, Great Britain, Poland, Lithuania and other allies provided a new package of weapons.
• The meeting in the Ramstein format is taking place at a time when Russia is preparing 200,000 troops at the training grounds for a new offensive to Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny warned about the threat of a new offensive by the invaders.
