The Russian military has stepped up in the Zaporozhye direction and is trying to improve the tactical situation. The occupiers even formed an attacking group.
This was stated on the air of the telethon by the head of the joint press center of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction Yevgeny Yerin, writes Channel 24. According to him, Russia has brought up additional reserves in the Zaporozhye direction.
Russian conscripts are fighting in the Zaporozhye direction
In particular, as Erin says, the enemy created not a full-fledged attacking grouping, but a grouping that, in principle, can create a threat in certain directions.
In the Zaporozhye direction, there are mainly full-time units of the Russian armed forces. Private military companies like Wagner or others have not yet been observed, – said the speaker of the Defense Forces.
Yerin added that the Russians include professional military and mobilized. “The main palette of the ground forces of the RF Armed Forces,” he said.
Occupiers tie down the actions of the Defense Forces
Yevhen Yerin said that the actions of the occupiers in the Zaporozhye direction fetter the Defense Forces and do not provide an opportunity for dispersal and transfer of forces to other threatening directions.
According to him, the occupiers carry out assault operations on the positions of the Defense Forces in small groups in order to improve the tactical situation.
Russia has become more active in the Zaporozhye direction
- In January, the Russian military suddenly became more active in the Zaporozhye direction. The occupiers have increased the number of attacks, and sometimes attack in small reconnaissance groups.
- Over the past 24 hours, more than 30 settlements have suffered from shelling by Russians in Zaporozhye. On January 28, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that the Russians were defending in the Zaporozhye direction.
- National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexei Danilov noted the activity of the Russians in Zaporozhye. According to him, the invaders are trying to identify weaknesses in the defense of our defenders. Consequently, Danilov assumes that Russia may go on the offensive in the Zaporozhye direction.
