Consequences of enemy shelling in the Luhansk region/Channel 24 Collage
The Russian military does not give up hope of capturing Severodonetsk and other cities of the Lugansk region, which are under the control of Ukraine.
The situation there remains quite tense. Military expert Dmitry Snegirev told Channel 24 about this.
Actually, it is said that the Russian Federation has changed the tactics of military confrontation in the East. – he stressed.
The expert explained that if earlier it was said about almost frontal attacks and battles directly in cities, now Russia uses the tactics of flanking the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
So, in the center of Severodonetsk, the infidels attracted their most combat-ready units. This is the 40th Marine Brigade and units of the 76th Airborne Division. The latter are directly involved in the actual flank coverage of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This tactic was successfully used on May 20, when they carried out a flank bypass of the Ukrainian positions near the villages of Troitskoye, Vrubovka and Druzhba.
“Therefore, now Severodonetsk is actually surrounded on three sides,” Snegirev explained.
Attention!According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Severodonetsk direction, our defenders are taking measures to prevent the expansion of the wedging area and the further advance of the Russian occupation forces. Active hostilities continue.
Fighting on the “road of life”
If we talk about what is happening now in the Lugansk region, Russian troops are not abandoning their attempts to take control of the so-called “road of life”. This is the route Lisichansk – Bakhmut. The battles are being fought 7-10 kilometers from this route.
But the Ukrainian defenders hold the defense firmly. Only in the last 24 hours, on May 22, 11 attacks were repulsed and about 25 armored vehicles were destroyed.
The Russians again unsuccessfully stormed Severodonetsk
- The Russian invaders do not give up their attempts to storm Severodonetsk. But, as noted in the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, this time they were again defeated. In addition, battles are being fought for Toshkivka.
- Yes, the invaders were advancing in the Severodonetsk direction, but again our military gave them a worthy rebuff. Therefore, the invaders had no other choice: they suffered losses and retreated.
