Russia is suffering frantic losses near Bakhmut. It is assumed that the terrorist country lost more soldiers in this region than in both Chechen wars.
Andrey Kovalev, press officer of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade, spoke about this. He pointed to the construction of the General Staff, according to which Ukrainian troops continue to repel attacks on Bakhmut.
Russian losses near Bakhmut
He stressed that in fact the Russian occupiers are not successful in any of the areas where they are now trying to carry out an offensive. “I remind you that now the Russian occupiers are trying to advance in the Kupyansky direction, in the Limansky, Bakhmutsky, Avdeevsky and Shakhtyorsky directions,” Kovalev said.
According to him, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine should continue to defend the city as long as there is such an opportunity. At the same time, Russian troops, he added, continue to suffer significant losses at Bakhmut.
We have information, we cited it in particular in the construction of the General Staff, that in the occupied territory of the Zaporozhye region in Tokmak, the Russian invaders placed a crematorium in which they burn the bodies of the so-called partially mobilized, including those from the Bakhmut direction, – said Kovalev.
He also said that the bodies of the Russian military are being taken to the occupied Crimea, where there is a crematorium near Simferopol.
“In general, in the fields around Bakhmut, the Russian invaders have obviously already lost more personnel than during the two Chechen wars combined,” he compared.
How many soldiers did Russia lose
- According to official Russian data, the Russian army lost about 5,500 soldiers killed or missing in the First Chechen War. However, according to most researchers, these data are underestimated many times over. During the most active phase of the Second Chechen War, in 1999-2002, 4,572 soldiers of the Russian army were killed and 15,549 were wounded.
- As of March 3, 2023, 151,370 invaders have already been liquidated in Ukraine. Over the past day alone, our soldiers have destroyed another 765 Russian occupiers.
