Occupiers continue to destroy Ukrainian heritage. Russia has committed about 250 war crimes against the cells of our culture.
As of April 23, 2022, 242 episodes have been documented. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
Where is the most destruction?
Most of all, Russian invaders destroyed cultural monuments in the following areas:
- Kharkov – 84 episodes;
- Donetsk – 45 episodes;
- Kyiv – 38 episodes;
- Chernihiv – 24 episodes ;
- Luhanskaya – 17 episodes;
- Sumskaya – 14 episodes;
- Zaporozhye, Zhytomyr, Kyiv – 5 episodes;
- Kherson – 3 episodes;
- Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev – 1 episode each.

According to the Minister of Culture Alexander Tkachenko, each such episode is recorded and a special database of materials is created, which is used as evidence in criminal cases.
The aggressor will not be able to break the Ukrainian spirit. After all, the whole world already admires our strength, courage and sincere desire to defend our land and freedom,” Tkachenko emphasized.
