— This worries us very much. There have been at least 10 cases of North Korean missiles being used on the battlefield. Consequently, we are very concerned about what this means for the proliferation of weapons in the future, and how this makes the situation worse, — said Chung Park.
The official added that a special concern is what the DPRK wants from the Russian Federation in return. Including what the DPRK can learn from Russia's use of these weapons and ballistic missiles on the battlefield, and how it might encourage and/or help the DPRK further advance its weapons program.
Aid to Russia from the DPRK
Recently, South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik said that North Korea has sent Russia about 7 thousand containers with ammunition and other military equipment since last year.
According to his statement, Pyongyang probably received more than 9 thousand containers of aid in exchange for military support.
South Korea previously stated that North Korea's ammunition factories were operating at full capacity to supply weapons to Russia in exchange for food and other essentials for North Korea.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reported that Kyiv has evidence of the use of artillery and missiles made by the DPRK by Russian troops. According to the head of state, Russia has received more than 10 thousand containers with artillery shells from the DPRK since the fall.
