Russia Fears Drone Attacks, Closes Volgograd Airport Sofia Rozhik

On the night of November 21, Russia was visited again by “good” drones. The Russians were so scared of them that they announced the “Carpet” plan and closed the airport in Volgograd.

This happened at 5:45 Moscow time. This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to Russian media.

At least 4 flights were unable to land

The Russian Ministry of Defense has already reported that they allegedly destroyed two drones at night: one over Volgograd (namely in the Kalachevsky district), the other over Rostov Oblast.

While the Russian “peveo” was catching a UAV over the Volgograd airport, at least three flights had to be delayed for departure and arrival, and another one flew to a backup airport in Samara.

The management stated that the airport suspended operations “for the safety of civil aircraft flights”.

The regional administration traditionally claims that there are no casualties or damage to civilian and military facilities.
