The Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Armed Forces in Europe, Christopher Cavoli, spoke about this in a comment to a journalist 24 Channel in Brussels.

According to Cavoli, the Russian army has the ability to achieve local successes at the front. But at the same time, it suffers great losses.

Cavoli added, that he is in contact with Ukrainian colleagues and is confident that the Ukrainian military will remain at the front.

The Alliance spoke out about the Russian offensive in Kharkov region

Chairman of the NATO Military Committee Rob Bauer is confident that the offensive of the Russian army in the Kharkov region will not force the Ukrainian authorities to sit down at the negotiating table.

“I think the Ukrainian Armed Forces are fighting to take back the land that belongs to them, and it's difficult. There's a lot that needs to be done, and it won't be easy,” Bauer said.

The lieutenant admiral also added that the offensive of Russian troops on the front in Ukraine is not a strategic success.
