Two commanders of military districts were fired in Russia/Defense-ua
The “purge” of generals continues in the Russian army. The media write that the commanders of the military districts were fired from their posts.
The alleged commander of the western military district, Colonel-General Alexander Zhuravlev, was fired. The media write about this, citing several sources.
Zhuravlev has held this post since 2018, and in 2016 he commanded Russian troops in Syria.

Transferring blame
There is unconfirmed information about the dismissal of the commander of the eastern military district, Colonel-General Alexander Chaik. He was appointed only in November 2021. The media noted that these commanders will be blamed for the failure of the first stage of the invasion of the aria of Russia.

The only commander of the military district who has not been touched yet is General of the Army Alexander Dvornikov. He is from the southern military district, which now commands all the forces of infidels in Ukraine.
According to media reports, Dvornikov is also looking for his own scapegoats, on whom he will throw off the blame for the huge losses and the sharp decrease in the scale of the ultimate goal of the “operation”.
Dismissal of other generals
British intelligence has found out that that over the past few weeks, several high-ranking commanders of the Russian army have lost their posts.
- Lieutenant General Sergei Kisil, who commanded the First Guards Tank Army. Dismissed because he could not capture Kharkov;
- Vice Admiral Igor Osipov, who commanded the Black Sea Fleet. His cruiser “Moskva” sank.
Intelligence has no data on whether the chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, remained in his post. They note that now it is not known whether Putin trusts him.
By the way, such personnel decisions do not remain without consequences. Scouts say that now Russian officers are not ready to make their own decisions. They wait for management to do it, because then they will have a higher chance of staying in office.
