The occupying country is increasing the number of aircraft near Ukrainian borders. Now our country has about 800 units of enemy aircraft.

This was announced during a briefing by the speaker of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Gnat. The occupiers brought 150 attack helicopters to the Ukrainian border.

Russia is actively using aviation

Yuri Gnat stressed that the Russian occupiers are actively using aircraft to patrol their territories and territories of Belarus. The enemy also actively uses aviation in the temporarily occupied territories and over the Ukrainian waters of the Black and Azov Seas.

In addition, A-50 early warning aircraft and Il-22 relay aircraft are constantly in the sky.

It should be noted that Russian aviation is afraid to enter that part of the Ukrainian space, which is controlled by our air defense. But the invaders continue to lose aircraft. As of August 25, its number in Russia decreased by 234 aircraft and 202 helicopters, 3 of which the invaders lost on the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The air force explained the record number of alarms

During the day On August 24, when our state celebrated Independence Restoration Day, air raid warnings sounded a record 189 times throughout the country and Kyiv. The previous “record” was recorded on April 23 – on the eve of Easter, the sirens worked 103 times.

Yuri Gnat explained that the number of alarms was due to Russian aircraft sorties. However, in order to keep the Ukrainians on their toes throughout the day, the occupiers raised aircraft and simulated missile launches.
