Russia has created assault squads of occupiers on crutches: British intelligence has explained this phenomenon Anastasia Kolesnikova

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, about 400 thousand occupiers have been wounded in the war in Ukraine. Recently, it could be noticed that the Kremlin has begun to involve wounded soldiers in the assaults.

Earlier, the CPD showed footage of the occupiers using their soldiers on crutches to identify the firing positions of the Defense Forces. British intelligence explained that they “forgot” the wounded Russians on the front lines, reports 24 Channel.

Why Russia uses soldiers on crutches

Thus, the British Ministry of Defense indicated that Russian servicemen are being returned to combat missions in Ukraine with non-healing wounds, often on crutches.

In particular, it is known that the enemy's 20th Combined Arms Army formed entire assault groups from wounded soldiers.

Intelligence suggests that the soldiers were returned to combat units after they were prematurely were discharged from advanced medical stations, as directed by their command. In this way, Russian commanders are seeking to reduce the burden on the overburdened military medical system and improve the unit’s ability to track and use wounded soldiers to carry out operational tasks.

The lack of adequate medical care in facilities located further from the front line necessitates the transfer of administrative and medical burdens back to military units, the report noted.

Pro-Kremlin bloggers also expressed dissatisfaction with the return of the practice of using the wounded.

In particularly egregious cases, obvious cripples can even be sent to storm the front lines, but more often they are sent to strengthen newly recaptured positions, one of them wrote.

By the way, in order to attract recruits, the Kremlin is increasing bonuses and benefits for new recruits, and some Russian regions have cash incentives almost on par with the US military.
