Estonia announced Russian provocations near the border/Collage of Channel 24

Estonia announced Russian provocations near its border. All because of the military exercises of the aggressor state.

Russian plane crossed the expanse of Estonia

The agency said that Russia is conducting military exercises with imitation of missile strikes on Estonia. This provocative behavior intensified on the eve of the NATO summit, which will be held June 29-30 in Madrid.

The Estonian Foreign Ministry noted that on June 18, a Russian border patrol helicopter flew into Estonian airspace for 2 minutes. This is the first time Russians have violated the country's airspace since the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine. The Estonian ministry has already summoned the Russian ambassador to the carpet.

Russia has started training in the Kaliningrad region

After Lithuania stopped passing through its territory transit trains with goods that fell under the sanctions of the European Union, the Russians caught fire. The Federation Council said that Russia will have “hands decided to resolve the issue by any means” if the EU does not correct the situation with the “blockade of Kaliningrad.” In addition, Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the situation “unprecedented” and Lithuania's decision “illegal.” He threatened the Baltic countries that Russia is still deciding on a “response” to such actions.

On June 20, military exercises began in the Kaliningrad region. The Russian military is training to fire Grad and Uragan multiple launch rocket systems, as well as large-caliber Giacint guns and other artillery weapons. In total, 3,000 soldiers will take part in the exercises.

Note that Yuri Shulipa, director of the Institute for the Study of Russian Aggression, said that Russia is indeed preparing for an escalation in Kaliningrad. However, the expert believes that the likelihood that the aggressor state will actually take such a step is extremely low. But NATO has already increased the presence of its troops on the eastern front.

At the same time, Shulipa believes that the situation around Kaliningrad in Ukraine is “very beneficial.” After all, they say, this significantly weakens the army of infidels.
