Invaders don't just fail on the battlefield. They cannot gain advantages in the air either. So, as analysts are convinced, the enemy will not carry out carpet bombings on Ukraine.
Although air raids on Ukraine should not be expected, no one has canceled massive missile strikes. Their Russian invaders will continue to implement in order to achieve any advantage in the war.
Surovikin will not be able to repeat the “Syrian game”
According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War, the appointment of Surovikin as commander of the Russian troops will not allow repeating the Syrian scenario in Ukraine. First of all, it should be understood that this is not possible due to the significantly different combat space.
Moreover, the enemy is not able to gain an advantage in the air. Therefore, Russians simply cannot carry out large-scale campaigns of carpet bombing in Ukraine, as they did in Syria.In addition, we should not forget about the air defense forces that our state is already equipped with.
According to the authors of the report, Surovikin's role will not affect Russian air and missile operations in Ukraine. Especially against the background of the fact that the West continues to supply our state with air defense. Uniting the civilized world against Russia simply will not allow you to get the desired advantage in the air.
Ukraine has finally received IRIS-T
Recall that the day before, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that Ukraine had finally received the IRIS-T air defense system. He marked the beginning of a new era of air defense. In addition, he noted that soon NASAMS from the United States would also be brought to our country.
Andrey Yermak confirmed this information. The head of the Presidential Office noted that we had the opportunity to more tightly cover the sky from Russian missiles. And this, according to Yermak, is only the beginning. Ukraine is creating its own sky shield. American NASAMS will also help in this.
Recall that on October 11, the Russian military launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine. Then the invaders fired 28 cruise missiles:
- 16 Kh-101/X-555 type;
- 12 Caliber type.
Also, the invaders attacked the territory of our state with the help of kamikaze drones. The effective and titanic work of the air defense forces made it possible to destroy 33 air targets of the Russian invaders. We are talking about 20 cruise missiles, as well as 13 drones.
