The UK Ministry of Defence noted that earlier this week the Kremlin held an arms exhibition, Army 2024, in the Moscow region.

The UK Ministry of Defence noted that the event usually attracts Russian and foreign defence manufacturers. However, since the start of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, international attendance has decreased.

In previous years, the event was held together with the Russian International Army Games, which were cancelled again this year. This time, as British intelligence notes, the exhibition was focused on attracting representatives of business from the defense industry, and not on a mass audience, – British intelligence officers say.

According to their information, various national delegations were present there. Including delegations from:

  • Belarus,
  • Iran,
  • North Korea;

Russian arms manufacturers are forced to increase production to support the war in Ukraine. Some foreign sales contracts to key international partners have been delayed due to the need to supply Russian forces, the UK Ministry of Defence said.

It is worth noting that a plant producing anti-aircraft missile systems burned in the Moscow region. The fire engulfed 3,500 square metres of the plant's territory.
