While Germany is demanding the launch of Nord Stream 2, Russia is blackmailing Europe and stopping the gas pipeline” North Stream. In Russia, they said that there was allegedly damage.

Gazprom said that the turbine needed to be repaired

Propaganda media, citing Gazprom, reported that Nord Stream has been stopped indefinitely, channel 24 writes.

It is reported that malfunctions were allegedly found on the last remaining turbine.

In the course of routine maintenance at the Trent 60 gas pumping unit of the Portovaya compressor station, allegedly “an oil leak with an admixture of a sealing compound was detected at the connectors of the terminal connections of the cable lines of the low and intermediate pressure rotor speed sensors.”

In addition, as stated in Gazprom, oil was found near the cable line in the external terminal box of the automatic control system of the unit.

As Russian media write, Gazprom sent a letter to Siemens about the need to repair the turbine.

Russian gas blackmail

  • The Kremlin is trying to use the gas to influence European leaders who support Ukraine in the war. First of all, we are talking about Germany, which is extremely dependent on Russian gas.
  • The corresponding thesis confirms that the German ruling coalition announced the need to launch Nord Stream 2, the commissioning of which was suspended due to for Russia's wars against Ukraine. Germany says there are “no good reasons” not to launch Nord Stream 2.
  • Russian Gazprom cut Nord Stream supplies by another half in July, leaving capacity at only 20% – up to 33 million cubic meters per day.
  • Note that this is not the first time that Gazprom has stopped the operation of Nord Stream. Since July 11, Gazprom has suspended the transit of gas through Nord Stream 1, explaining this by allegedly technical reasons. Russia resumed gas supplies to Germany because of the Nord Stream only after a 10-day break.
