The day after the presidential debate, Republican candidate Donald Trump returned to the campaign trail.
As The New York Times writes, Trump held a campaign rally in Chesapeake, Virginia. His speech lasted 90 minutes, and then supporters of the ex-president began chanting: USA.
Trump made a strange statement about China, Russia and North Korea
During the speech, Trump repeated his belief that America is more threatened by “the enemy from within”, referring to his political opponents — than foreign states like China, Russia and North Korea, which he said “are not really enemies if you have a smart president”.

— We have external enemies — China, Russia, North Korea. But they are not really enemies if we had a smart president. They will not be enemies, if we have a smart president, they will do wonderful things, — he stated.
In addition, Trump again said that he would be able to end the war between Ukraine and Russia after his election victory and would do this before entering the White House.
Trump also repeated some of the false statements he made during the debate, again accusing Democrats of allegedly supporting abortion up to “after birth”. Although, according to the newspaper, not a single state has passed laws that would allow this, and Biden did not support it during the debate.
He also told his supporters that Biden had allowed an influx of migrants across the US border with Mexico, leading to a surge in violent crime. Although available data suggests that violent crime rates have dropped, there is no evidence of a surge in crime caused by migrants, the NYT notes.
Trump supporters stood for hours under the scorching sun to listen to his speech. The publication noted that at least three people needed medical attention because of this.
Recall that during the debate, Donald Trump said that the conditions put forward by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine are unacceptable.
