The Khmeimim-Ulyanovsk route: the GUR explained how Russians are fleeing Syria Vladislav Kravtsov

After the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria, the Russian army began to pack up and flee from the territory of this country. To do this, the occupiers have attracted a caravan of military transport aircraft, onto which they are loading the remaining troops, weapons and military equipment.

This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to a message from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine in the Telegram channel.

How and where Russians are fleeing from Syria after the fall of the Assad regime

According to Ukrainian intelligence, several An-124 and Il-76MD aircraft are scheduled to fly from the Khmeimim airbase in Syria. These aircraft will fly along routes to the Russian airfields of Ulyanovsk, Chkalovskaya and Privolzhskaya.

The aggressor state is also attracting additional naval facilities: in particular, the city of Baltiysk has ordered the Sparta II dry cargo ship and the large landing ship Alexander Shabalin to be prepared for departure to Tartus.

The large landing ships of the Russian Northern Fleet, Alexander Otrakovsky and Ivan Gren, have set course for the Mediterranean Sea, the GUR noted.

The enemy frigates Admiral Gorshkov and Admiral Golovko are also participating in the “Syrian retreat” operation.

“In the port of Tartus, the Russians are carrying out an emergency dismantling of equipment and military property. Several hundred Russian special forces have already arrived there to ensure the retreat,” the GUR reported. intelligence.

The GUR also noted that Russia is likely counting on agreements with Syrian anti-government forces for an unimpeded exit from the country. As evidence, the intelligence cited the fact that even representatives of Russian diplomacy no longer call the groups that have rebelled against the Assad regime “terrorists,” but demonstrate neutral, even “nice” public rhetoric.

In addition, according to the GUR, frustration and oppression continue among the remnants of the Russian contingent in Syria. This is how Russians express dissatisfaction with their leaders and commanders, in particular their organizational incompetence. One of the military bases with Russian troops is currently under siege.

By the way, Russian President Vladimir Putin, after the fall of the Syrian dictator's regime, granted Bashar al-Assad and his family asylum in his country. Now the ousted Syrian president and his family have already arrived in Moscow.
