Bad weather has arrived in some regions of Russia – a powerful wind is literally sweeping away everything in its path. Locals are posting footage of the hurricane tearing off the roofs of buildings, breaking trees and lifting objects into the air.

The weather is expected to get worse in the near future. In addition to strong winds, there will also be snow.

A powerful hurricane hit Siberia on November 19 – the cities of the Altai Territory, Kemerovo, Omsk and Novosibirsk regions suffered the most. The wind reaches a speed of 35 meters per second. It blows away roofs of houses, poles, trees and cars.

For example, a strong wind in Novokuznetsk tore down a sign near a shopping center, causing it to fall on a woman. Also there, the facade of one of the high-rise buildings flew away. In Barnaul, a hurricane was able to move a trailer.

It is reported that there is no electricity in 33 settlements in the Siberian region. There are also heating problems. Authorities say weather conditions should not be expected to improve anytime soon. Things will get worse, the wind will get stronger and it will snow.

Bad weather in Ukraine too

Powerful gusts of wind on November 18-19 were also recorded in Ukraine. In Odessa, its speed in some places reaches 25-27 meters per second. The bad weather will continue to rage on November 20, but the hurricane will be less severe.

An orange alert level has been announced in Odessa. People are urged not to leave their homes unless necessary, and not to park cars near trees. More than 60 cases of trees falling and branches breaking have already been recorded.

In addition, the first snow fell in Odessa on November 19 – previously temporary cover could be seen in the West and North of the country.
