In Mehedinț, in western Romania, a 14-year-old boy set fire to a school building. It turned out that the cause was a misunderstanding with his parents.

Law enforcement officers opened an investigation, during which they established the details of the deliberate arson. The child is currently hospitalized in a dispensary and undergoing a psychiatric examination.

As reported by the media, investigators found a 14-year-old boy with a lighter and flammable substances at the scene of the fire.

During interrogation, the teenager admitted that he resorted to setting fire to the school because of a misunderstanding with his parents and in order to attract their attention. The minor's parents were in France and recently returned to the country, which is why the boy felt rejected.

The boy faces criminal liability for his actions – up to 7 years in prison. A psychological examination should show whether the guy is sane.

By the way, a group of arson recruiters who, on the orders of the Russian FSB, set fires in the EU were recently detained in Ukraine. It is reliably known that several retail establishments in Poland and the Baltic countries were destroyed by fire. There was also a plan to set fire to a humanitarian center.
