On Thursday, January 18, Romanian protesters blocked the Halmeu-Dyakovo checkpoint in Transcarpathia.
As an ICTV Facts correspondent reports from the scene, there are now a lot of police on the Romanian side of the border.
— Protest participants — truckers and farmers, about 20 of them in total. They brought in large agricultural equipment and blocked truck traffic. Cars and buses are allowed through, — the message says.
According to customs officers, the movement of trucks leaving Ukraine has been suspended in order to prevent blocking the passage of passenger cars.

The timing of the blocking is not yet known.
– Currently about 10 trucks are waiting to leave Ukraine, and in the queue — 607 t/s. Over the past 24 hours, the following has been issued and passed: for departure from Ukraine — 138 t/s, entry — 105 t/s, customs officers report.
The Border Service of Ukraine reports that this is the third checkpoint blocked by protesters.
Ukrainian border guards, in cooperation with Romanian colleagues, are carrying out measures for further clearance operations for trucks.
Passing cars, passenger cars and buses is carried out as usual.
Protest of Romanian farmers
At the beginning of the week, farmers began partially blocking the Romanian checkpoint Vicovo de Sus, which is opposite the Ukrainian Krasnoilsk, as well as the Siret-Porubnoye checkpoint. The promotion began during the day and ended in the evening.

Farmers complain en masse about the difficult conditions of farming due to high fuel prices and increased taxes, which in some cases forces them to close their businesses.
Against this background, they call on the Romanian government authorities to stop the import of grain from Ukraine.
