The head of the Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, was instructed to develop options for a manned winged space Shuttle, similar to the Soviet “Buran” to replace the “Soyuz MS”, reports RIA Novosti.
“Corporation “Energiya” and other teams will now be offering this kind of options of space technology”, — said Rogozin. He added that the creation of reusable spacecraft will take a long time.
Rogozin added that “Union MS” constantly modernizarea, but the endless upgrade “is detrimental to the development of space technology”.
Previously Rogozin gave an interview on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the creation of the Roscosmos. He appreciated the new American spacecraft SpaceX Crew Dragon and the Boeing Cockpit. According to him, they are more glamorous than the Russian “Soyuz”, although, in fact, are his analogues.
