In 2024, Ukraine may begin to develop the production of ground-based robotic systems, electronic warfare systems, electronic warfare systems and others with the possibility of using artificial intelligence technologies.
Natalya Kushnerskaya, head of the Brave1 defense cluster, spoke about this in an interview with Forbes Ukraine magazine.
– I cannot make predictions (about possible trends for 2024 – Ed. ). I can say that we have focused on ground-based robotic systems. There is a task to take people away from the contact line. Obviously, these are also electronic warfare and electronic warfare systems, solutions using AI,” she noted.
In her opinion, Ukraine now has every chance of becoming a new Silicon Valley in the development and support of military innovation. That is, companies will have quick access to a testing ground for technologies.

“We try to independently look for and do what we lack. We are glad that R&D funding for Ukrainian manufacturers has increased. Now we are developing even more targeted assistance to companies,” says Kushnerskaya.
She shared one of her successful cases – ShaBlya automatic turrets. Approximately 4.5 months passed from registration to approval for operation.
About UAH 1.5 billion or 70% of the budget of the Ministry of Digital Transformation will go to Brave1, a seven-month defense technology cluster. This should help quickly work with defense technologies produced in Ukraine.
Brave1 is a defense technology cluster created by six government institutes. Among them are the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Strategic Industry, the General Staff, the Ministry of Economy and the National Security and Defense Council. They influence the development of defense technologies.
