Ukroboronprom will assemble small arms in accordance with NATO standards. This was reported by the press service of JSC Ukroboronprom.
It is noted that the JSC entered into an agreement with the Czech company Česká zbrojovka a.s., which is a subsidiary of Colt CZ Group SE, on the transfer of the license.
— This will allow the production of NATO standard rifles, in particular the CZ BREN 2 model, in Ukraine and equip the Ukrainian Armed Forces with proven, high-quality standard firearms that will enhance their operational capabilities, — the message says.
The CZ BREN 2 model is used by military forces and law enforcement agencies around the world. In particular, the Czech Army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Portuguese Army, the Polish Border Guard Service, the Task Force of the National Gendarmerie of France, the Romanian Gendarmerie and the like.

What is CZ BREN 2
CZ BREN 2 — This is a modern example of assault rifles that are actively used in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
CZ BREN 2 has a gas-operated automatic system with a short stroke of the gas piston and a locking bolt. The assault rifle has a quick-change barrel, which allows you to quickly change both length and caliber.
The receiver is made of aluminum alloy, and the trigger mechanism box, pistol grip, magazine receiver — made of plastic.
The use of aluminum alloys and impact-resistant plastics made it possible to reduce the weight of the assault rifle to 3.1 kg. It also has three fire modes: single, automatic and two-shot.
