The German arms company Rheinmetall is already completing construction of its second plant in Ukraine. It is planned to be put into operation soon.

This was reported by 24 Channel with reference to a statement by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

What Rutte said about the second Rheinmetall plant in Ukraine

The NATO Secretary General noted that Rheinmetall only recently opened its first plant in Ukraine.

The construction of the second plant will be completed soon, the Rutte.

The NATO chief also stressed the decisive role of the German defense industry in providing military aid to Ukraine and meeting the Alliance's technical needs.

Rutte also emphasized the joint efforts of American and European companies, which intend to jointly manufacture 1,000 missiles for the Patriot air defense systems in Bavaria.

In addition, Mark Rutte stressed that NATO countries must increase the pace of production in order to ensure security for a billion citizens. Therefore, for this purpose, the Alliance is increasing its support for Ukraine and is already cooperating with the European Union and other partners around the world.

By the way, Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov recently threatened to “strike” the Rheinmetall plant that had started operating in Ukraine. To this, the German company responded that their capacities in Ukraine are well protected, and they are planning to open a total of 4 plants in the country.
