Ukrainian society can fully adapt to martial law. Representatives of various spheres should be ready to defend themselves.

This was stated by Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov. He believes that civil servants should undergo mandatory military training before starting work.

The Minister noted that this also applies to elected positions.

The presence of military training should become one of the mandatory requirements for working in the civil service, as well as for running for elected positions in local governments, parliament, courts, etc. Reznikov said.

“Smart militarization”

According to the minister, Ukraine should analyze areas of life and determine people in which professions they need to be able to defend. Reznikov suggests calling this process “smart militarization.” He stressed that this has nothing to do with the processes in Russia.

“Militarization” in Israel, Sweden, Switzerland on the one hand and Russia and North Korea on the other have fundamental differences. It is important not to lose the essence,” Reznikov explained.

Reznikov's other statements

The Minister of Defense assured

Reznikov said that Ukraine has avoided the worst-case scenario. He expects a new stage war.

Who is needed for the army

There is no shortage of soldiers in the Ukrainian army yet. as Reznikov said, there is a need for specific specialties… We are talking about UAV operators, special Aitovtsy, signalmen, artillerymen.

This is due to the fact that Ukraine receives modern NATO-standard military equipment. Therefore , we need specialists who can quickly master these systems.
