Reznikov talked with Austin about assistance to Ukraine/Ministry of Defense of Ukraine
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov spoke on May 9 with his US counterpart Lloyd Austin. They discussed the military assistance required by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defeat the Russian occupiers.
The conversation took place over the phone. The ministers agreed to continue to be in close contact.

The US Secretary of Defense said that he had a telephone conversation with the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine .
This morning I spoke with my colleague Oleksiy Reznikov to discuss Ukraine's military requests. I reaffirmed our steadfast support in providing Ukraine with the necessary capabilities to counter Russian aggression. Austin noted.
According to the US Department of Defense, he told Reznikov that $150 million was allocated on May 6 to provide the Armed Forces with the necessary equipment. In particular, we are talking about artillery, counter-artillery radars and electronic jamming equipment.
In turn, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine spoke about the situation in the East. Austin noted that the US will continue to strengthen the Ukrainian army so that it can defeat the invaders. He also briefed Reznikov on continued US coordination with allies and partners on military assistance efforts.
U.S. Aid and Lend-Lease in Brief for Ukraine
