Senior sailor of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Tamilov was personally awarded by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Dmitry Reznikov. He hit a $40 million Su-34 from the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system, which costs about $40-50 thousand.
Saved 25 brothers who were with him on the ship
As explained in the Ministry of Defense, Dmitry Tamilov, together with his brothers, carried out a combat mission to protect the sea coast of Ukraine. Once, two enemy Su-34s appeared near the ship. They made one flight and fired missiles at one of the settlements.
Dmitry realized that everything would not be limited to a single flight. Therefore, he prepared his “Needle” in order to “say hello” to the Russian occupiers. As soon as one of the planes came into view, Dmitry immediately launched a rocket. She hit the bomber exactly – the “bird” was destroyed.
It is important that Dmitry not only destroyed the enemy plane, but saved his 25 brothers. But the plane could well have destroyed the ship where the military was.

The plane went behind the clouds, the rocket immediately behind it. A big explosion was heard … The guys are in a fighting mood. We are all waiting for victory. I’m ready to go to the end,” said senior sailor Dmitry Tamilov.
Dmytro Tamilov was also awarded the Presidential Distinction “For Military Service of Ukraine” for his bravery.
