Reznikov spoke about a conversation with a German colleague/Collage of Channel 24
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov spoke with German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht. Following the conversation, Reznikov announced “good news”.
The details of the conversation were published by the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on Twitter.
According to Reznikov, they discussed the provision of weapons by Germany to Ukraine, which will strengthen our defense capability.
Thank you to our German partners for their unwavering dedication to supporting Ukraine. We are expecting good news soon,” the minister wrote.
The German government has previously published a list of weapons that are being prepared for transfer to Ukraine – in particular, it contains:
- 30 self-propelled artillery Gepard installations,
- IRIS-T SLM air defense systems,
- M113 armored personnel carriers.
Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz confirmed Berlin's commitment to supply Ukraine with modern weapons. But the government noted that for organizational and security reasons, it is difficult to talk about schedules for the supply of weapons to Ukraine.
Danilov told how Western weapons change the course of the war
Armament supplied to Ukraine by the West, significantly affects the course of the war. In particular, the accuracy of the strikes of the Ukrainian troops neutralizes the quantitative advantage in the equipment of the invaders. Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, spoke about this. Now Ukrainian soldiers are effectively destroying enemy warehouses in the temporarily occupied territories.
Oleksiy Danilov stressed that with the help of Western weapons, Ukrainian soldiers are effectively destroying enemy warehouses, points and equipment. Accordingly, this weapon performs 3 important tasks. As Danilov noted, they are talking about demoralization, demilitarization and de-occupation.
