Andrusov commented on the withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Svetlodarsk/Collage of Channel 24
The Ukrainian army is actively implementing mobile defense. In particular, this strategy is now working in Svetlodarsk, Donetsk region.
As the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Viktor Andrusov explained, there is no “treason” in the retreat of our Armed Forces of Ukraine from Svetlodarsk and Mironovsky.
Andrusiv stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine use mobile defense. This means that our fighters do not hold on to specific settlements, but strive to inflict maximum losses on the enemy while maintaining our strength.
This means that sometimes it is necessary to retreat from lines that are not of a strategic nature in order to avoid encirclement or significant losses. Therefore, there is no change in this. Just such a retreat took place yesterday from Svetlodarsk and Mironovskoye. The goal was to avoid a possible cordon and significant losses. A few more indents are also possible to align the front. Also without treason, – said the adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs.
He added that the situation in the Donbass is now difficult, but not critical. Our forces are enough for today.
The invaders captured Svetlodarsk
On the morning of May 24, the invaders entered Svetlodarsk, Donetsk region, and hung a Russian tricolor over the building of the city administration. This information was confirmed to journalists by the head of the Svetlodar military administration, Sergei Goshko. Armed invaders are already walking the streets, checking the documents of local residents.
Residents reported that they do not see a large presence of infidels – small groups of 5 people walk around. On May 23, the Russians captured the neighboring village of Mironovsky.
What is the situation at the front on the evening of May 24
- According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the direction of Donetskthe enemy continues to conduct active offensive operations. There, the enemy launched air strikes on civilian infrastructure in the settlements of Kramatorsk, Liman and Slavyansk. In addition, the infidels are trying to break through the defenses of our troops and reach the administrative borders of the Lugansk region.
- In the Seversky direction the enemy continues to take measures to cover the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border and equip strongholds on territory of the Bryansk region.
- On the Limansky direction the enemy stepped up the conduct of hostilities. With the support of artillery and aviation, the enemy is advancing in the direction of the settlement of Liman.
- In the Severodonetsk direction, with the support of artillery fire, the enemy is advancing in the direction of the settlement of Severodonetsk, hostilities continue.< /li>
- On the Bakhmut direction the enemy is advancing in the areas of the settlements of Lipovo and Belogorovka.
