The draw for the European qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA World Cup took place in Zurich, Switzerland on Friday, December 13.
As a result, Ukraine learned the opponents with whom it will compete for a ticket to the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by three countries – Mexico, the USA and Canada.
The blue and yellows ended up in the second basket during the draw. The draw resulted in 12 groups of four or five teams each.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to start on 11 June 2026 and run until 19 July 2026.
For the first time in history, 48 teams will participate in the final tournament. Sixteen teams will qualify from Europe. The winning team in the group will advance directly to the World Cup.
The 12 teams that finish second in the quartets, and the four best UEFA Nations League group winners based on the overall tournament ranking, will be divided into four playoff paths. The winner of each path will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
