The Ukrainian military liberated the village of Boromlya in the Sumy region from the invaders. The villagers told how they survived the bombing and the occupation.

“The 'liberators' came to rescue and took everything away”

One of the villagers remembered the first day of the war. According to her, in the morning her son called her and decided to bring her grandson to the village. Unfortunately, due to the occupation, the family was stuck in Boromla.

There was a bombardment, and the Russians occupied the village, said a local grandmother.

According to her, , the invaders struck on the morning of March 5, as a result of which windows and doors were knocked out of houses.

One of the residents said that before the occupation, people lived normally and there were shops. “Now there is not a single store, everything is empty,” said a local resident.

The Ukrainian military, who entered Boromlya, urged people not to take anything in their hands. They explained that the invaders had left a lot of dangerous ammunition that could explode.

As a result of the occupation, the village was cut off from the electricity supply. One of the residents of the village said that the occupiers dropped two bombs and the shock waves hit the houses.

At 5:30 a plane flew and dropped the bomb. Everyone was at home. Miraculously, they survived, – said the woman.

Another resident “thanked” the Russian “liberators” who took away everything he had acquired.

“The “liberators” came to rescue and took everything that he had been making money for 17 years. Garage, apartment, car… They helped… Thank you, the kingdom of heaven to them,” he said.
