According to a person familiar with the matter, the actions of the Ministry of Justice are being checked. In particular, former high-ranking ministry official Jeffrey Clark and others.

Perry is closely associated with Clark

Republican Scott Perry said on August 9 that The FBI seized his mobile phone.

“This morning, while I was traveling with my family, 3 FBI agents came to me and took away my mobile phone,” he said.

Perry is closely linked to Clark, who has come under scrutiny from federal investigators for his involvement in attempts to cancel the 2020 election. In early summer, law enforcement searched Clark's home. As well as former Trump lawyer John Eastman.

Eastman, Clark and Perry were not charged with any crimes

A person familiar with the investigation said that Perry's phone was photographed and returned to the owner . According to him, the search warrant stated that federal authorities must apply to federal court for a warrant to access the content.

Eastman, Clark and Perry were not charged with any crimes. Therefore, it is not clear why these individuals are being checked. After all, only the offense of employees of the Ministry of Justice is being investigated. And that was only Clark.

But several sources familiar with the investigation say that other prosecutors working in the D.C. Department of Justice are conducting criminal investigations related to Eastman and Clark.
