Removal from military registration means release from the status of a person liable for military service. That is, the person is completely unfit for service and is not subject to mobilization. But for this there must be certain reasons, for example reaching the age limit.

When deregistration based on age and what is needed for this — in the material Facts ICTV.

When deregistration due to age

The new law on mobilization provides for a reduction in the conscription age from 27 to 25 years. However, the age limit has not changed. Let's find out up to what age they can be recruited and who is removed from military registration based on age.

According to the Law on Conscription and Military Service, the reserve of those liable for military service is divided into two categories and depends on the age of the person liable for military service.

Persons who are in the reserve and have the military ranks of private, sergeant, and petty officer are divided into categories by age:

  • first digit — persons under 35 years of age;
  • second rank — persons under 60 years of age.

Reserve officers are also divided into ranks by age.

The first category includes:

  • junior officers — persons under 45 years of age;
  • senior officers: major (captain 3rd rank), lieutenant colonel (captain 2nd rank) — persons under 50 years of age; Colonel (Captain 1st Rank) — persons under 55 years of age;
  • senior officers — persons under 60 years of age.

Second rank:

  1. junior and senior officers — persons under 60 years of age;
  2. senior officers — persons under 65 years of age.

The age limit for being in the reserves of the second category is the age limit for being in the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.

That is, removal from military registration by age occurs when a man reaches 60 years old, since he has reached the age limit for being in the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

After reaching 60 years of age, a person is excluded from military registration, but, if desired, a person, even after reaching the age limit, can go to serve of his own free will, that is, voluntarily.
