In Nikolaev people are urged not to go to church on Easter/Word and Deed
The head of the Nikolaev city council asked the townspeople not to visit churches on Easter. Alexander Senkevich emphasized that this could save lives.
The mayor of Nikolaev compared the situation with the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. But with one caveat: the chances of dying from an explosion reach 100%.
Going to church can cost your life
I would ask you, if you can, refrain from crowding near churches,” he stressed.
Oleksandr Senkevich added that Russian propagandists are already actively distributing information about the shelling of churches. They say that the Ukrainian military will attack churches, in particular The Moscow Patriarchate, in order to later blame the Russians.
This, according to the mayor of Nikolaev, is another weighty argument to give preference to refusing to go to church. This was also reported the day before in the SBU.
Note that in a number of regions the curfew on Easter night was lifted. We are talking about Khmelnitsky, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa and Lviv regions. Moreover, there will be no night services in Lviv. In the Rivne region, churches were allowed to work at night, and in Bukovina and Kyiv the curfew itself was reduced.
