Suspect in Farion's murder detained
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that an 18-year-old suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion was detained in Dnipro.
According to him, this was a difficult operation, on which hundreds of specialists from the National Police, the SBU and other services worked during these days.
— An 18-year-old man has been detained. The necessary investigative actions and examinations are ongoing. He instructed the Minister of Internal Affairs to present all the details to the public, — he added.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko stated that the investigation has enough evidence to assert that it was the 18-year-old local resident detained in Dnipro who shot Iryna Farion in Lviv.
He noted that in 139 hours of continuous work, a team of operatives, investigators, analysts, experts, other police services and SBU employees checked every corner along the shooter's escape route and searched about 100 hectares of forest.

Interception of Russian and Chinese military aircraft near Alaska
On Thursday, July 25, it became known that the day before, the North American Aerospace Defense Command intercepted two Russian and two Chinese bombers that were flying near Alaska.
— On July 24, 2024, NORAD detected, tracked, and intercepted two Russian Tu-95 and two PRC H-6 military aircraft operating in the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ). The interception was carried out by NORAD fighters from the United States and Canada, the North American Aerospace Defense Command said in a statement.
