RosSMI considers Avdeevka and ATACMS missiles the main causes of death of officers / Collage 24 Channel

The Kremlin is in a hurry to present its electorate with at least some successes at the front before the presidential elections in 2024, and for this purpose it is throwing its soldiers into “meat” assaults. According to Russian media, since the beginning of autumn, the number of deaths among the invaders per day has increased from 80 to 110 people.

For the second month now, the occupiers have been actively trying to capture Avdiivka. Constant assaults on the city translate into insane losses for the aggressor country.

The occupiers set a “negative” record

Thus, Avdeevka is the city that is most often indicated in obituaries as the place of death of Russian officers, and as many as 14 of them have died in the last two weeks. The Russian media note that Moscow suffered such large losses among high-ranking military officers only in the summer of 2022, when the U.S. began supplying Ukraine with long-range HIMARS missiles. This time, the increase in mortality among the occupiers' officers can be partly explained by the appearance of ATACMS missiles at the front, journalists believe.

Thus, as a result of a missile strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the headquarters of the enemy group “Dnepr” in the Kherson region, at least three colonels returned home in black bags: Alexander Galkin, Vadim Dobryakov and Alexey Koblov. And the temporary acting head of the 126th military investigation department, Dmitry Katsuba, died during an attack on Skadovskaya by HIMARS missiles.

As the media note, most senior officers were killed not during attacks on headquarters, but on the front line. These are usually the commanders of battalions or Storm-Z assault squads.
