Who else is restricted
Sanctions also affected other Putin's henchmen. The restrictions are aimed at military commanders and Russian gun dealers who supply weapons to Myanmar.
In particular, Russian children's rights ombudswoman Maria Lvova-Belova was also subjected to restrictions. She is accused of allowing 2,000 unprotected children to be forcibly removed from the Lugansk and Donetsk regions and organizing a new policy aimed at facilitating their forced adoption in Russia.
Sanctions were imposed on Sergei Savostyanov, a member of the Moscow City Duma and a member of Putin's political elite, for publicly supporting the war in Ukraine.
Alexey Isaikin, president and member of the board of the Volga-Dnepr group, was also subject to restrictions. This Russian transportation company is a significant air carrier that has been contracted by the Russian government to build air bridges carrying important cargo.
The sanctions also extended to four military colonels of the 64th separate motorized rifle brigade. The military of this unit killed, raped and tortured the civilians of Bucha.
The restrictions included members of the so-called Rescue Committee for Peace and Order, an organization that cooperates with the Russian army to support the occupation of the Kherson region.
