Jens Stoltenberg announced this during a briefing, reports the correspondent 24 Channels in Brussels.

NATO is ready to activate Article 5

He noted that over the 75 years of the Alliance's existence NATO has been able to provide protection to all its allies and continues to do so. If necessary it is ready to activate article 5.

Almost all of Russia's ground forces are involved in a war of aggression against Ukraine, so we do not see any immediate threat to any NATO member. But, of course, we will closely monitor what Russia is doing along the borders of the Alliance, stressed Jens Stoltenberg.

NATO Secretary General criticized partners for helping Ukraine

As Jens Stoltenberg noted, Ukrainians do not lack courage. At the same time, we have a shortage of shells. Therefore, he called on our partners to provide our state with all the necessary weapons. So that this will improve the position of the Ukrainian army on the front line.

NATO allies do not provide Ukraine with enough ammunition, and this has consequences on the field fight every day. The fact that the Russians are capable of outgunning the Ukrainians on a daily basis is, of course, a huge challenge. This is one of the reasons why the Russians have been able to achieve some success on the battlefield in recent weeks and months, Stoltenberg said.

He also noted that USA is still the largest supplier of weapons and ammunition for Ukraine. At the same time, he noted that the European Union and Canada also provided significant support to our state.

As Jens Stoltenberg noted, NATO has the potential, as well as the economic power, to provide our state with everything necessary. Therefore, he called on his partners to increase assistance for Kiev.

Please note that the German Bundestag on March 14 once again rejected the resolution that provides for the provision of long-range Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. Only 190 legislators voted “for”, 495 voted “against”, and 5 deputies abstained. The corresponding resolution was initiated by the opposition bloc CDU/CSU.
